I searched Ravelry and the Red Heart website to find a pattern that I'd like to make with this ball of pretty and I couldn't find something that I'd use myself so I decided to make myself a head band / ear warmer!
The texture is really lovely and the colorway, Tambourine, has a lovely copper/gold sparkle to it, the sequins changing color slightly in different lights!
Red Heart Stellar
Yarn Information: Red Heart Stellar
Super Bulky Size 6 || 4oz / 113g || 80 yards / 73 m
6mm/10US Knitting Needles or 6.50mm/K-10.5 crochet hook
99% Acrylic and 1% Other Fibers
I searched Ravelry and the Red Heart website again to find a pattern that I'd like to make with this. I found a bunch of cool patterns but they all required multiple balls and I only have the 1, so I set upon a mission...
I chained 50'ish and made sure it would fit around my giant head, attached and then I did a (dc, skip st, ch 1) repetition around for 12 rows (and until I nearly ran out of yarn!) The colorway, "Quark", worked up so beautifully! There's subtle changes in the shades and it flows so nicely!
One of the things I noticed while working up this yarn is that it 'moved'. The yarn will 'slide' along itself and kind of bunch up, so I just had to adjust a couple times so that it didn't bunch up in 1 area and then be a lot thinner a few sts later. It actually made me think of a few projects where that could come in handy for forming purposes!
